Chelsea announced the signing of Raheem Sterling from rivals Manchester City yesterday after some weeks of negotiations.
Sterling headed straight to LA after his medical in London earlier in the week, and now he has joined up with his new boss Thomas Tuchel, as well as his new Chelsea team mates.
Tuchel has been speaking to Sky Sports about how happy he is the secure the signing of Sterling, and he says that the winger is exactly what he and Chelsea were looking for.
“Sterling was the number one priority,” Tuchel said. “And we are very excited and super happy that we could make it happen. I think he’s a big improvement to our squad and exactly what we were looking for in terms of age, experience and style of play. I’m super happy that he’s here.”
