Report: Transfer insider shares “great news” for Manchester United in bid to complete £43m deal

The Denmark international is expected to join Manchester United, and Jones believes it will send the appropriate message to other targets like Martinez who want assurances that the team is assembling a group to contend with.

Eriksen has reportedly verbally agreed to join United this summer, according to The Athletic. The 30-year-old offensive midfielder’s contract with Brentford expired, making him a free agent.

Speaking to GMS, the journalist said: “With Eriksen pretty much done, that’s great news for them, especially with Lisandro Martinez. Every person United are trying to sign has wanted assurances that somebody else was coming in at the same time as them or quickly after.”
