Report: Manchester United prepared to agree £42M fee to beat Liverpool to attacking signing

Liverpool appear to be out of the running for RB Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko. With his outstanding performance against the Reds during pre-season, the Slovenian demonstrated to Jurgen Klopp precisely what he is all about.

Salzburg defeated Liverpool 1-0 thanks to an extraordinarily well-worked goal that Sesko started and finished. He’s a beast of a forward who pushed Joe Gomez at times, but it was his pace and unexpected agility that drew my attention.

Sesko is 6ft4 and much speedy than a guy of his size, similar to Erling Haaland, another Salzburg export.

Sesko is supposedly close to joining Liverpool, but it appears that the Reds, Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, Manchester United, and Chelsea are all interested in him.

United are the most advanced in negotiations of any interested team, and it now appears that they may take the next step by agreeing on a fee with Sesko’s Austrian club.

According to a report from Spanish source Sport, through The Faithful, United has taken the lead and is in talks with his representation. The Mancunians are prepared to agree to a fee worth £42M (€50M) which apparently meets Salzburg’s demands.
