Report: £230,000-per-week star ready to agree Manchester United move after issue is resolved

Manchester United have been assured that Frankie De Jong is ready to seal his move to Old Trafford after his salary issue with the Catalan club is resolved, according to The Telegraph.

The media outlet have mentioned that Barcelona still have to pay more than £17million in deferred wages and bonuses and the 25-year-old wants the payment cleared before signing.

Ten Hag is determined to lure his compatriot to Old Trafford, but if the deal breaks down by any chance, it is stated that the Red Devils have alternative targets in mind.

Renowned French source, L’Equipe, claim that the 20-time English champions are interested in hiring the services of Argentine midfielder, Leandro Paredes.

De Jong earns roughly £230,000 per week and agreed to take wage cutbacks with the rest of the Barcelona squad during the COVID-19 epidemic.

United will face Liverpool in their first preseason match in Thailand tomorrow, and Ten Hag will only have one new addition, Tyrell Malacia, at his disposal.

According to a British news source, Christian Eriksen is nearing the end of his relocation and may join the tour in Australia.
