Report: £100m world-class star prefers Manchester United to Liverpool

Erik ten Haag’s Manchester United and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will seriously battle for Benfica striker Darwin Nunez, according to The Independent.

According to the report, Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester United both are keen on signing Nunez from Benfica in the summer transfer window. Benfica reportedly want £100 million for the 22-year-old Uruguay international striker.

The Independent also reports that, while Nunez prefers a move to Liverpool, his camp is open to hearing what Manchester United has to say. Under the leadership of Erik ten Haag, United is entering a new phase.

Which club will favour Darwin Nunez?

Manchester United, rather than Liverpool, would be a better fit for Benfica striker Darwin Nunez, in our opinion.

Because he mostly plays as a striker for Benfica, he might play in the center of a front three alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho.

Yes, Cristiano Ronaldo is a key character at Manchester United, but he is getting older, and Nunez might take his place as the club’s main striker.

Nunez scored 26 goals and gave four assists in the Portuguese league and scored six goals in the Champions League this past season.
