Journalist Alex Crook has claimed that he thinks Lisandro Martinez will eventually sign for Manchester United this summer transfer window.
Claims in Dutch outlet De Telegraaf (via Metro) have stated that Ajax are demanding £52m for the versatile Argentinian defender as negotiations continue.
Martinez sustained an injury last season, which caused him to miss time during the season, but he still managed to make 37 appearances across all competitions, scoring one goal and registering four assists.

The 24-year-old joined Ajax in 2019 and has demonstrated his versatility in the side since, appearing in 120 games for the Dutch club, predominantly as a centre-back but also in 22 games as a center midfielder (as per Transfermarkt).
With Manchester United highly associated with Martinez, Crook told GiveMeSport that he anticipates a ‘breakthrough’ in this trade this week and that a deal will eventually happen.
He said: “I think there’ll be a breakthrough with Martínez this week. “He’s really pushing it on his side, they’re not too far away financially, so I think that will happen.”
