Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Nathan Ake, with the Blues desperate to try and start the process of replacing their two departed central defenders.
The Blues were said to be interested in a central defender with Premier League experience, and with Ake available for approximately £45 million, a deal seemed to be close.
Along with that, a deal for Raheem Sterling with Manchester City is also being negotiated in parallel and is getting even closer to completion. It supports the theory that Chelsea wants to simultaneously announce a double deal from City, which we originally heard about yesterday.
Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Nathan Ake but must still agree a fee with Manchester City. Things edging closer. Told a deal very close to being fully agreed with City for Raheem Sterling, who has already agreed personal terms #cfc

Ake was at Chelsea for several years in the youth team, so they know him well. He’s versatile, adjusted to the Premier League, has plenty of quality and isn’t ridiculously expensive. There’s plenty of sense to it.
Selling him for cheap and then buying him back is pretty bad business – but it’s also pretty Chelsea business for you.
