Chelsea is thought to be leading the fight to sign Sevilla midfielder Jules Koundé. The Blues have been widely connected with a summer transfer for the French centre-back, who is poised to leave his current club.
Last summer, Chelsea were linked with a transfer for Koundé, but Sevilla refused to budge, causing the player displeasure. Things could be different this summer, despite the fact that Koundé’s center-back partner Diego Carlos has already gone for Aston Villa.
Sevilla may become hesitant to a deal as a result of this. Sevilla, on the other hand, cannot block the Frenchman’s £68 million release clause if it is activated.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Sevilla are eyeing a move for Galatasaray star Marcao to replace Diego Carlos.
They are aware, though, that they may lose Koundé, with Romano claiming Chelsea are ‘winning the race.’ That’ll be wonderful news for Blues fans, especially since Antonio Rudiger is leaving on a free transfer to Real Madrid.
Sevilla are considering many options to replace Diego Carlos, including Galatasaray’s centre back Marcão. He’s one of the candidates in the list. ⚪️🔴 #Sevilla
Important to remind that also Jules Koundé could leave the club this summer, with Chelsea leading the race.
